KATRA, June 9: In separate incidents, two pilgrims of Mata Vaishno Devi died because of cardiac arrest, here today.
One female pilgrim, namely Siladevi Singh, wife of Nandu Kumar Singh of 20-Netaji Subash Road Calcutta, died in CHC Katra because of Congestive cardiac failure with nasal bleeding. The deceased was referred by Bhawan dispensary when she complained about breathlessness.
She was brought to CHC Katra by her husband. From Bhawan to Adhkuwari, she was brought in Battery car and then in ambulance from Adhkuwari to CHC Katra. The couple was accompanied by their two children, mother in law of deceased and her sister.
In a similar case, another pilgrim namely Arun Surekha (52), son of Shyam Surekha of T-4/151 Tablebay Apptment, RMV-II stage Bangalore, died because of massive heart attack, while on way from helipad to Bhawan.
He was accompanied by family friend Anup Goyal of Mumbai, who shifted him to Bhawan dispensary where doctors declared him as brought dead.
