JAMMU, June 9: A 50-year old man allegedly committed suicide today by hanging self at his residence in Digiana area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, the deceased has been identified as Jatinder Singh son of Prabhat Singh. Quoting family members, he said the man was mentally disturbed for quite some time.
“He was found hanging this morning by the family members, who in unconscious condition shifted him to Gandhinagar Hospital, where doctors declared him as brought dead”, he said, adding after completing medico-legal formalities, the body of the man was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
A case in this regard has been registered at concerned police station and investigations started.
