JAMMU, June 8: Ek Sath Rang Mandal (ESRM) in collaboration with BLSKS presented Vijay Malla’s play ‘Sanji Virasat’ at Rajiv Nagar, Narwal, in its Monday Theatre series.
‘Sanji Virasat’ is a nukkad natak based on our centuries old brotherhood traditions, which have been maintained by our elders without any consideration of any cast, colour, language and region.
The story revolves around a village youth namely Ram Lal, who is serving in Army and his old parents are alone at home. But he is not worried about them, as his neighbours who belong to other religion take care of their parents. Ram Lal visits his home in holidays and is happy that his neighbours look after his parents as their own.
He shares his experience of Army and tells his neighbours that Jawans in the army are recruited from different parts of the Country but they wear same uniform and perform same duty to safeguard the Country. He says that this is our Sanji Virasat, which we must preserve for coming generations.
The actors who performed in the play were Kanta Sharma, Vikram Rajwal, Vijay Kumar, Kuldeep Raj, Ravi Dhar, Mohit Rawal, Aryan and Vijay Malla.
