JAMMU, Aug 14: Minister of State for Cooperatives, Printing & Stationery, Manohar Lal Sharma inspected the Ranbir Government Press and reviewed the functioning of its various units here today.
The Minister was apprised of functioning of various sections of the institution and the works undertaken by the press during the current year. It was informed that more than 1400 jobs for execution were received during current financial year from various departments and major portion of jobs have been delivered to the intending departments. It was also informed that law volume were printed after a gap of twenty years and put on sale.
Mr Sharma said that in the last two years latest machinery has been procured and installed which has improved the quality of printed material from press. He said that all efforts will be made for upgradation and modernization of the Government Press for which modern machinery and infrastructural facilities will be provided.
The Minister also took stock of various repair and renovation works being executed in the press.
