Rajouri, June 2: Minister for Transport, Abdul Ghani Kohli today oured Garan, Agrati and Androlla areas of district Rajouri and listened to grievances and demands of the public besides taking stock of development works.
The Minister sought people’s cooperation in translating Government’s commitment into achievement so that they can get a responsive and accountable governance.
During these public meetings, people projected various demands and problems of their respective areas seeking an early redressal to the same.
The Minister listened to the grievances of people and issued on the spot instructions to the concerned officers for an early redressal of the same.
The issues which were brought to the notice of the Minister pertained to upgradation of Govt high school at Garan and adequate teaching staff, installation of high capacity transformers, better road connectivity and availability of better healthcare faciliies and staff at PHC, Garan and dispensary at Agrati besides relief for flood affected victim.
Responding to demands and grievances of the people, Mr. Kohli assured the people of these villages that their genuine issues would be considered and redressed in a time bound manner. He directed the concerned officers to prepare a comprehensive project based on resolution submitted by general public regarding their demands for basic amenities and development issues.
The Minister directed district administration to expedite the work on preparation of Aadhar cards so that the tribal too get themselves registered before moving toward dhokas. He also directed the concerned officer to rectify the faults in ration card distribution.
The Minister directed the officers to ensure that the pace of various developmental works undertaken by the Government is speeded up so that the people get benefit in time. He appealed the people to actively involve themselves in implementation of welfare schemes so that effective feedback is received about the same and need based and holistic development of these areas is ensured.
