UDHAMPUR, Apr 2: Acting on the complaint of mass copying, Majalta Police has arrested the Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent of an examination centre at Government Higher Secondary School Majalta.
The accused, along with two officials of J&K Board of School Education, were allegedly facilitating mass copying in class 12th examination at the said centre, last week.
The action has been taken on a written complaint against the accused by Tehsildar Majalta, Aamir Choudhary, who conducted a surprise visit of the examination centre.
While the Superintendent Gyan Chand (Lecturer) and Dy Superintendent Naveen were arrested by the Police, the accused BOSE officials, identified as Raj Mohd and Narinder, were absconding.
A case FIR number 21/015, under Section 551D Anti Corruption Act and Prevention of Unfair Means Examination Act has been registered in this connection at Majalta Police Station for further investigation.
