Rajouri, Mar 13: The Community College of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri organized distribution of study material books to the students being trained in Certificate Course in Travel and Tourism Management.
During the programme, Vice Chancellor, BGSB University Prof I A Hamal was chief guest while Principal of Community College & Registrar MR Choudhary was guest of honour. Head of Department, Management Studies Prof SK Gupta, Special Secretary to VC Suneet Gupta and Nodal Officer of the College Dr Gaurav Sehgal were also present.
A total of 80 sets of books pertaining to Tourism Principles and Tourism Marketing were distributed by the Vice Chancellor to the students enrolled under Community College. This was yet another attempt of the Community College in general and BGSB University in particular to provide quality education through quality study material.
The event commenced with report presented by Dr. Gaurav Sehgal, Nodal Officer Community College regarding its recent activities since its inception in Sept 2014. The Nodal Officer briefed VC about two day sEducational Trip of the students which was organized early this month, wherein the students were made to visit places in and around Jammu, Katra and Reasi. He said that the students were exposed to the practicalities of Travel & Tourism Industry.
The Vice Chancellor advised the students to come out with good suggestions and analysis that can boost the Tourism Industry of the State in general and the twin Districts of Rajouri and Poonch in particular. Vice Chancellor also asked the students to be brand ambassadors of the University in this regard. He also added that such innovative initiative of Community College would encourage education among the students.
