SAMBA, Feb 16: Deputy Commissioner Samba Sheetal Nanda held an interactive session today with Sarpanches here today.
The DDC said that the objective of the meeting was to assess the genuine demands and problems being faced by the people of rural and border areas of the district.
The Sarpanchs projected their problems and demands like better road connectivity, repairs of bund in Kamoore, cremation shed in Gurha Slathia besides upgradation and improvement in basic amenities in border areas.
The DDC appealed the Sarpanches to monitor the developmental works and functioning of Government institutions for better results and assured them that the problems projected by them would be looked into and all efforts will be made to make PRIs more vibrant.
