JAMMU, Feb 16: President of Jammu University Non-Gazetted Employees Union has alleged harassment by the universities authorities, which have transferred him seven times within a period of two years.
Talking to media persons on the campus, NGEU president Vijay Kumar alleged that he was being targeted by the University administration to discourage him from highlighting the genuine issues of JU employees. “However, whenever I approach the authorities for the reason behind my frequent transfer, they just pass buck to others,” he added.
Meanwhile, JU Vice-Chancellor Prof R D Sharma is learnt to have constituted a committee to look into the complaint.
Though Mr Vijay has been transferred for the first time during the last three months, a committee has been constituted to look into the complaint and suggest needful, sources told the Excelsior.
