KATHUA, Aug 1: Police recovered a kidnapped girl from Lakhanpur, and arrested two persons.
Police spokesman said that, yesterday, a complaint was lodged with Police Station Kathua, by Kamaljeet Singh, son of Late Yash Paul Singh of Kathua, that his sister has been kidnapped by one Danesh Salaria and his mother Swaran Lata of Kushinagar, Nurpur Himachal Pradesh.
After registering a case under FIR number 292/12, a team was constituted, he said, adding, that the team recovered the kidnapped girl from the car bearing registration number HP38C 2471 during a naka at Lakhanpur and arrested Danesh Salaria and his mother Swaran Lata.
The girl was handed over to family members after completing legal formalities and investigation into the case is in progress.
