JAMMU, July 31: Bhartiya Chaitanya Party (BCP) today held a protest demonstration in front of Press Club and expressed its solidarity with Anna Hazare crusade demanding powerful Jan Lokpal Bill to curb the prevailing corruption at top political and administrative levels.
Carrying placards the activists of BCP raised slogans against the Congress led UPA Government for their non-seriousness towards the rising menace of corruption in the society.
Addressing the gathering, Vishal Chopra, spokesperson BCP, alleged that all main political parties including UPA components at Center instead of a serious approach towards eradication of corruption seem united to sabotage the movement initiated by Anna Hazare and his team members.
He said that the Anna Hazare and his team are on fast, but the Government is least bothered about that, which shows Governments unwillingness towards eradication of corruption from the society.
Chopra said if even today the Government does not adhere to the demands of Anna Hazare then BCP will also sit on fast from tomorrow at Bikram Chowk.
BCP appealed the masses and the political parties including BJP, NC and PDP to join the crusade against the corruption led by Anna Hazare for a peaceful and respectable survival and prosperous life of coming generations.
Among others present were Shiva Bharti national president, Neeraj Kumar vice president Jammu province, Shekhar Soni, Sandeep Sharma, Mani Arora, NK Koul general secretary, etc.
