KATHUA, Dec 29: District Development Commissioner, Kathua Dr. Shahid Iqbal today launched special issue of a magazine exclusively devoted to the promotion of tourism.
During a simple but impressive function organized by Lakhanpur Sarthal Development Authority at Deputy Commissioner office complex , the DDC formally launched December issue of Enquirer Today- A Tourism Promotional Magazine. The magazine has come out with articles on places of tourist interest falling in District Kathua besides other articles.
At the outset, Dr. Bharat Bhushan, Chief Executive Officer, Lakhanpur Sarthal Development Authority briefed all those present on the occasion that Kathua District has diverse and magnificent places like Sarthal, Dhaggar, Bani, Dhar Mahanpur, Billawar, Basohli, Macheddi, Malhar, Banjal etc, which are beautiful, rich in flora and fauna and can be called as a Tourist’s Paradise.
He made a Power Point Presentation on tourist and pilgrim locations of the district and the various steps being under taken by the Development Authority to promote tourism in the district.
Dr. Shahid Iqbal in his address appreciated the efforts of Enquirer Today Magazine and Lakhanpur Sarthal Development Authority to promote tourism in the district. He hoped that all stake holders will work in unison to bring the places of the district on the tourist map of the State.
V.K Sehgal, Patron of Enquirer Today Magazine, Mohd. Shahid Khan, Managing Editor of the Magazine, ADDC Kathua, Narinder Singh Bali, Joint Director Planning, Ram, Rattan, members of the civil Society and a galaxy of media persons were present on the occasion.
