JAMMU, Dec 14: Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control and Congress candidates from Akhnoor Assembly constituency, Sham Lal Sharma today said that the BJP Government in Centre was indulging in worthless outburst instead of addressing the grievances of border migrants and sensitive issue of political consequences in Jammu and Kashmir.
While addressing a series of public meetings, Sham Lal also highlighted his achievements as MLA and asked the BJP leadership to challenge him in respect of performance instead of exploiting sentiments of people.
He said when in remote and hilly areas as Chowki Choura even Patwari was not accessible, he got Sub District status (SDM) there, Tehsil at Mandrian and Jourian including Niabats at Devipur, Bhalwal, Maira Mandrian, Kathar, Rah Salyote and Ghar Majoor. Those claiming Modi ji will do development in Akhnoor, should remember that such elements have nothing on the name of performance except their criminal activities in past, he added.
Reiterating his vision for Model Akhnoor Constituency, Mr Sham said that the same would be fully executed in next six years. He sought public support in form of their vote by each and every citizen of Akhnoor, including youth, women, senior citizens, businessmen, Govt employees, Ex-servicemen, PoJK refugees, and others for the cause.
Castigating BJP leadership for its silence over Article 370 and CM from Jammu, Sham Lal asked BJP to clear its stand on both the issues, which have future concerns for people of Jammu and Kashmir. “What kind of debate BJP wanted on Art370?” he asked.
The Congress leader also lambasted Modi Government at the Centre for clubbing the issue of PoJK refugees settlement with West Pak refugees with malafide intentions and asked people of Jammu to reject BJP, which has sabotaged their cause not once but several times in past also.
