JAMMU, Dec 12: On the directions of Returning Officer (RO) and Sub-District Magistrate (SDM) RS Pura, Miran Sahib police registered FIRs against two contesting candidates from RS Pura constituency under J&K Prevention of Defacement of Property Act 1985.
As per police sources, RO RS Pura Rajinder Sharma directed Miran Sahib police to register FIRs against Indian National Congress party candidate Suman Bhagat and Independent Candidate BR Kundal from RS Pura constituency.
Acting on the directions, Miran Sahib police registered FIR number 134/14 against Congress candidate from RS Pura constituency Suman Lata Bhagat under J&K Prevention of Defacement of Property Act 1985.
A case under FIR number 135/14 has also been registered against Independent candidate BR Kundal from RS Pura constituency under J&K Prevention of Defacement of Property Act of J&K.
