SRINAGAR, Dec 10: The Central University of Kashmir (CUK) Chancellor, Dr Srikumar Banerjee today distributed relief cheques among the varsity students whose houses had suffered extensive damages during September floods.
The Chancellor, on the occasion, also donated Rs 50,000 to the relief fund set up by the University to aid the affected students.
CUK officiating Vice-Chancellor, Prof Mehraj ud Din, Dean School of Education, Prof N A Nadeem, Head Department of Tourism Studies, Prof S Fayyaz, Registrar, Prof M Afzal Zargar, Controller of Examinations/Finance Officer, Dr N A Gilkar, Librarian, Reyaz Rufai and Students Welfare Officer, Dr Fayaz A Nikka, were also present on the occasion.
Earlier, the Chancellor had a detailed interaction with the administrative staff of the University and discussed the issues confronting the university at length.
