JAMMU, Dec 10: Tehsildar Jourian, Rajesh Baru, who is also head of flying squad team in Akhnoor Assembly constituency, today seized a Maruti car which was being used in election campaign in violation of Model Code of Conduct.
The car bearing Registration No. DL-2CG 9364 loaded with public address system was campaigning for BJP candidate without requisite permission from Returning Officer Assembly constituency Akhnoor.
On receiving a complaint about MCC violations from election complaint cell in SDM office Akhnoor, incharge flying squad team (Tehsildar Jourian) immediately swung into action and seized the car, which was later handed over to Akhnoor Police.
