Infantry Brigade organizes eye camp

POONCH, Nov 16: 425 Field hospital under the aegis of 93 Infantry Brigade organized eye camp on the occasion of Poonch Link-up Day.
The camp was inaugurated by Brig N S Brar, Cdr 93 Infantry brigade in the presence of Col Vimal Rai Sharma, CO 425 Field Hospital and Professor Sardar Jagbir Singh of Pritam Spiritual Trust.
The camp was in consonance with the “vision 2020” programme fulfilling the right to sight for all and was conceptualized to provide advanced state-of-the-art medical care to civilians at their doorsteps under the Operation Sadbhavana programme.
The response received from civil population for the conduct of camp was overwhelming. A team of doctors included eye specialist from Army Hospital attended approximately 100 patients and provided them free medical advice and treatment.
Twenty cases requiring advanced eye treatment in the form of surgeries were selected to be operated at 150 GH, Rajpur where they will be provided advanced treatment, free of cost.
