Sir,
The State Government should come out with a comprehensive policy for border people who often bear the brunt of Indo-Pak border stand off.
The recent unprovoked heavy shelling from across the border has not only killed civilians and injured people but it has left border people totally traumatised. Their day to day life has gone haywire as they can neither attend their field nor tend their cattle. They can’t even lit their hearth to prepare a square meal. Their children can’t attend schools nor they can play. The people live in constant fear of firing. They watch helplessly the shower of bullets which hit them or their homes. How long shall they live a life like this? They will have to live like this till a permanent solution to their problem is found. The standoff between the two countries is not a one day affair and one does not known when the two countries will resolve the issue.
And border people can’t be made to live this miserable life always.
The Government should once for all settle the matter by settling border people at safe places where they can cultivate land and live life with dignity and honour.
Yours etc…
