SAMBA, June 4: Markets in Samba will remain closed on June 19, 20, and 21. This decision was taken following a meeting held by the traders of the Samba market.
Tajinder Singh, president of the Samba Traders Association, announced that consistent with the practice observed every year, all shopkeepers have been granted a three-day holiday in observance of the Summer break; consequently, all shops in the market-with the exception of those selling essential commodities-will remain closed.
He also urged local residents to refrain from visiting the market during these three days for any shopping or purchasing needs. Several individuals, including Romesh Hansa, Neeraj Kumar, Rajeshwar Singh, and Ajay Kumar, were present at the meeting.
