SAMBA, JUNE 03: District Development Commissioner Samba Ayushi Sudan today chaired a meeting of the District Level Committee to finalize the projects and works proposed by the designated Village Nodal Officers under the Vibrant Village Programme-II. The meeting was held in the Meeting Hall of the DC Office, Samba.

During the meeting, detailed deliberations were held on the village-wise work plans prepared for the 16 selected villages covered under the programme. The proposed developmental works and interventions aimed at strengthening infrastructure, improving public services and enhancing livelihood opportunities in these villages were reviewed comprehensively.

The DDC stressed that before the district-level plan is finalized, the proposed work plans should be shared with all Visiting Officers nominated by the UT Government so that they remain apprised of the developmental needs and projects identified for transforming the selected villages into vibrant and sustainable communities.

She further directed the officers representing the Border Guarding Forces to identify and propose projects of strategic significance from the security perspective and submit the same at the earliest for consideration under the programme.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner; Chief Planning Officer; Superintending Engineer, O&M Jammu-Samba; Executive Engineer, PWD; District Social Welfare Officer,; Assistant Director, Tourism; Principal, ITI and other concerned officers.
