KATRA, May 31: Police have successfully solved a theft case at Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan and recovered the stolen items worth rupees 2.40 lakh from the accused, who has been arrested.
The case was registered at Police Station Bhawan vide FIR No. 23/2026 under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
During the course of investigation, police apprehended the accused, Rajnish Kumar, son of Prem Chand, resident of Jalandhar, Punjab. Acting on his disclosure the police team recovered stolen property worth approximately Rs 2.40 lakh, including mobile phones and other valuable items.
The accused is presently under police remand and further investigation is underway to ascertain his involvement in other similar theft cases.
