SAMBA, May 29: An alleged drug peddler was arrested with 12.94 grams of heroin-like substance from Ghagwal area of Samba district today, officials said.
The accused has been identified as Abhishake Sharma alias Abhi of Jassore, tehsil RS Pura, district Jammu.
Officials said the accused was arrested with the consignment during routine checking at NHW Naka Tapyal under the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal.
He was accordingly booked in case FIR number 55/2026 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Ghagwal and further investigation taken up, they said.
