JAMMU, May 28: J&K unit of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) has stated that the ongoing dialogue process between the Central Government and the representatives of Ladakh is a good development and a similar serious and meaningful dialogue should also be initiated on the administrative, political and public concerns related to J&K.
Talking to reporters, Shiv Sena J&K president, Manish Sahni said that Union Ministry of Home Affairs is holding discussions with Ladakh representatives on sensitive issues like Sixth Schedule, land rights and local employment but the absence of any broad-based dialogue with the people and political representatives of J&K remains a matter of concern.
Targeting the NC Government, Sahni said that during elections, big promises were made regarding the restoration of special rights, full statehood, land protection and safeguards for local employment but after coming to power, no concrete or effective initiative has been taken on these issues.
The Shiv Sena leader urged the Central Government to restore full statehood to J&K at the earliest and ensure protection of land, employment and demographic rights of local residents.
Raj Singh, Sanjay Bhatt, Aditya Mahajan, Om Parkash and many others were also present on the occasion.
