JAMMU, May 25: Dr Ajay Chrungoo, Chairman Panun Kashmir (PK) reiterated his demand for reviewing of the implementation of NFSA for the genocide hit community of Kashmiri Pandits.
Addressing an interactive political session at Durga Nagar near here organized by PK he dealt in detail the difference between the economically poor sections of society and the weaker sections of KPs who continue to be the survivors of a genocide . Insisting on empathy for the difficulties faced by the poor KP genocide driven souls Dr Chrungoo wanted an additional seamless comfort from the Government for these poor genocide survivors. This he maintained will come only when the scheme is reviewed and suitably redrafted.
He also denounced the high-handed approach of the Jammu police  for lodging FIRs against certain KP individuals who recently held peaceful protests against the ill-advised ‘normalisation’ of NFSA procedures. Dr Chrungoo called for an immediate revoking of all these police complaints.
Divulging on the broader politics of the State of India’s reluctance in not moving ahead with the homeland proposal regarding rehabilitation of KPs or in making a law for penalising and prevention of genocide, Dr Chrungoo alleged that the State of India has lost the will to effectively fight the “monster of political Islam’’. “This policy he added has consistently been followed up by New Delhi irrespective of change in political power,. Unless this self imposed inertia is broken for which he remained highly hopeful, the reversal of our genocide will have to wait’’.
Sudershan Singh , a social activist blew off the claims of the so-called bogey regarding the  return of peace  there. He fact checked that normalisation of communal bias has creeped down deep into the Government’s officialdom itself.
Rajesh Kachroo , a political activist wondered about a tagging that has unfortunately gone fixed within a powerful  lobby in RSS hierarchy against this uprooted community. He found it ironic that the right wing political echo system thrived politically on the KP desolation post 1990. He however looked hopeful that saner elements in the organisation shall fully back the rehabilitation proposals of the community.
