UDHAMPUR, May 22: MLA Chenani, Balwant Singh Mankotia, today held a public darbar at Panchayat Pachote in Chenani Block, where officers from various Government departments participated in large numbers to address public grievances on the spot.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents, ex-PRIs, senior civil and police officials including SDM, officers from different departments and prominent citizens of the area.
During the public darbar, people from Panchayat Pachote and adjoining areas raised several issues related to roads, drinking water supply, electricity, healthcare facilities, schools, and other developmental works before the MLA. Taking serious note of the grievances, MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia immediately directed the concerned officers to ensure timely redressal of the problems and resolve maximum issues on priority basis.
On the occasion, Mankotia also announced an amount of Rs 10 lakh from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for developmental works in the Panchayat, which was welcomed and appreciated by the local people.
Addressing the gathering, the MLA said that in the coming days, similar public darbars will continue to be organized across every panchayat of the Chenani-Ghordi constituency so that developmental issues and public concerns can be addressed effectively and transparently.
Mankotia emphasized that he is continuously making dedicated efforts for the overall development of the Chenani-Ghordi constituency and is committed to ensuring better roads, improved healthcare, education facilities, drinking water supply, electricity infrastructure, tourism and other basic amenities for the people.
