JAMMU, May 19: Young Lawyers Association (YLA), J&K High Court, Jammu today organized a ‘Pad Yatra’ in support of the “Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan” spearheaded by the Lieutenant Governor, with the objective of spreading awareness against the growing menace of drug abuse and narco-terrorism in society.
The rally commenced from the Court Complex, Jammu, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from advocates, members of civil society and responsible citizens from different walks of life. Participants raised slogans and carried placards highlighting the urgent need to eradicate the menace of drugs and to safeguard the younger generation from the devastating impact of substance abuse.
The Association reiterated that drug abuse not only destroys families and the future of youth but also indirectly strengthens criminal and anti-national activities.
Office bearers of the Association resolved to continue such awareness initiatives in future for the welfare of society and protection of the youth.
