JAMMU, May 18: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Minority Morcha today organized a programme at Chatha Karloop area of Jammu North constituency, where several people from different walks of life joined the party in the presence of senior BJP leaders.
The programme was organized by district president of BJP Minority Morcha for North Jammu region, Jagjeet Singh and was attended by BJP Minority Morcha J&K president Ranjodh Singh Nalwa as the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, Ranjodh Singh Nalwa said that the ideology of the Bharatiya Janata Party should reach every section of society, especially the poor and middle-class people who are benefiting from various welfare schemes launched by the Government.
He stated that the party has always worked for the upliftment and equal development of the poorest sections of society.
Nalwa said that under the constitutional framework and welfare policies of the Central Government, efforts are being made to ensure dignity and equal opportunities for every citizen.
“Central Government initiatives under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi such as the construction of toilets, health benefits through Golden Cards and other welfare schemes have significantly improved the lives of common people. Our aim is not merely to rule but to serve the people,” he said.
“Society must unite to eliminate social evils such as drug abuse, crime and hooliganism in order to create a peaceful and progressive environment for future generations,” Nalwa added.
The newly joined members thanked the BJP leadership for welcoming them into the party fold and expressed confidence in the leadership and development-oriented policies of the BJP.
The programme concluded with party leaders reaffirming their commitment towards public welfare and social harmony.
The event was attended by a large number of local residents, social workers, youth and prominent personalities, including Gurudwara representatives and community leaders.
Jasmeet Kour Pandey J&K General Secretary, Prithipal Singh Parbhari, Mohinder Singh J&K Secretary, Vicky Singh district president Jammu district were also present during the function.
