NEW DELHI, May 17: Senior BJP leader and MLA, Jasrota, Rajiv Jasrotia today called on Kavinder Gupta, Governor of Himachal Pradesh here, today and held a detailed and wide-ranging discussion on key issues concerning the future development, governance and socio-economic transformation of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory.
During the meeting, Rajiv Jasrotia extended warm congratulations to Kavinder Gupta on his appointment as the Governor of Himachal Pradesh and termed it a matter of immense pride for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Describing him as a true “son of the soil,” Jasrotia said the elevation of Kavinder Gupta to a prestigious Constitutional position is recognition of his decades of dedicated public service, clean political image, administrative experience and unwavering commitment towards national interest.
Jasrotia said that Kavinder Gupta has emerged as one of the most respected political personalities from Jammu and Kashmir whose journey from grassroots politics to holding top Constitutional and administrative assignments continues to inspire party workers and youth across the region. He said Gupta’s vast experience as former Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Speaker of the erstwhile Legislative Assembly, J&K and Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh has given him a deep understanding of governance, development and aspirations of people living in border and hilly regions.
The BJP MLA expressed confidence that under Kavinder Gupta’s leadership and administrative guidance, Himachal Pradesh would scale new heights of progress, transparency and inclusive development. He said leaders with rich political experience and nationalist vision play a pivotal role in strengthening democratic institutions and ensuring people-centric governance.
