Police recovers online defrauded Rs 21.20 lakh, 74 Smart Phones

DODA, May 13: Cyber Police Station Doda recovered online defrauded money amounting to Rs. 21,20,739 along with 74 lost Smart Phones valued at about Rs. 12,68,500, from different States and UTs across the country.
The recovery was made under the supervision of SSP Doda, Kartik Shrotriya, Additional SP Doda, Mohd Aslam and DySP Headquarters Doda, Krishan Rattan. As per the statement issued by District Police Doda, Cyber Police Station Doda received several complaints regarding online financial frauds and missing/lost mobile phones from different complainants. Acting promptly on the complaints, the Cyber Police team conducted sustained investigation and technical analysis which led to the recovery of the defrauded amount as well as the lost Smart Phones.
The investigation was carried out by the team headed by Inspector Surinder Veer Singh, SHO Cyber Police Station Doda, along with PSI Harish Chander, Nodal Officer CEIR.
The recovered Smart Phones were later on handed over to their rightful owners at PCR Doda by the Additional SP Doda Mohd Aslam.
