LEH, May 12 : The Chief Secretary of UT Ladakh, Ashish Kundra, today chaired a review meeting to assess the progress and implementation status of the Vibrant Village Programme.
During the meeting, the Chief Secretary reviewed the ongoing development works under the programme aimed at improving infrastructure, connectivity, livelihood opportunities and essential public services in the border villages of Ladakh.
Discussions were held on the status of various projects and on the coordinated efforts of different departments to ensure the effective implementation of the scheme.
The meeting also focused on ensuring the timely completion of works related to road connectivity, drinking water supply, power infrastructure, tourism promotion, healthcare, education and digital connectivity in the identified villages.
Stress was laid on strengthening basic amenities and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for the local population.
The meeting was attended by the Administrative Secretary, Baseer Ul Haq Chaudhary; Deputy Commissioner Changthang, Nitish Rajoria; Director Health, Director Agriculture, Director Horticulture, Director RDD and senior officers from various concerned departments.
