JAMMU, May 8 : To discuss organizational strengthening, expansion of grassroots outreach and enhancement of public connectivity through local body units across the Union Territory, J&K BJP Urban Local Body Cell organized an important meeting, here today.
J&K BJP president and Member Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Sat Sharma accompanied by General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul, General Secretary Baldev Singh Billawaria, All Cells Incharge Ved Sharma, All Cells Co-Incharge Munish Khajuria, Urban Local Body Cell Convenor Pawan Singh and Co-Convenor Ajay Gupta, addressed the meeting.
Sat Sharma, while addressing the meeting, emphasized the vital role of Urban Local Body units in strengthening the party at the grassroots level and serving the people effectively.
He said that BJP activists are committed to public service 365 days a year and remain fully prepared to face elections whenever they are announced.
Sharma stressed that party workers must intensify their outreach at the grassroots and expose the failures, anti-development policies and negative governance model of the NC Government before the public.
Ashok Koul spoke in detail about the organizational framework of the party and announced the convenors and co-convenors for newly constituted units at various existing local body levels to enhance efficiency and public outreach.
He said that strengthening booth-level and local body structures remains a priority for the organization to ensure better implementation of party programmes and policies at the grassroots.
Baldev Singh Billawaria said that the Urban Local Body Cell provides one of the best platforms for public service and direct interaction with the people. He stressed that BJP workers must remain proactive ensuring that welfare initiatives reach every section of society.
Ved Sharma and Pawan Singh also addressed during the meeting.
Munish Khajuria conducted the proceedings of the meeting, while the vote of thanks was presented by Ajay Gupta.
