KATHUA, May 7: In a joint operation, Delhi Police and Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested three persons allegedly involved in major theft cases and other criminal activities in Delhi.
Officials identified the accused as Sahil, Anshul and Himanshu. They were reportedly evading arrest and had taken shelter in Jammu and Kashmir to avoid police action.
Officials said that acting on specific inputs, police teams launched a joint operation in the Lakhanpur area of Kathua district.
During checking, they said suspicious vehicles bearing Delhi and Haryana registration numbers were intercepted and searched.
Following verification and questioning, the three accused were taken into custody, officials said.
They said the accused are being interrogated at Lakhanpur Police Station and their involvement in multiple criminal cases is being investigated.
Officials are also probing possible links of the accused with a larger interstate criminal network.
Police sources said further disclosures are likely during sustained questioning.
