Srinagar, May 2: Police today demolished an illegally constructed commercial complex worth about Rs 1 crore in Bijbehara area of Anantnag district, officials said.
The structure, comprising 15 shops at Waghama, as per Police, was linked to a man accused in a drug trafficking case registered in 2017.

Police said the property belonged to Sajad Ahmad Rather, a resident of Waghama Bijbehara, who is named in FIR No. 63/2017 under Section 8/15 of the NDPSA at Yaripora Police Station.
During verification, authorities found that the complex had been built on State land without authorization.
Following due legal procedure and in coordination with civil authorities, the structure was demolished, officials said.
Police described the action as part of an ongoing campaign to target assets created through illegal means and to weaken the financial networks linked to drug trafficking.
