RAJOURI, Apr 20: Continuing its sustained drive the police achieved a success by apprehending a drug-peddler during routine naka in Thannamandi area today.
Reports said a police team from Thanamandi, led by Inspector Sachinder Pal Singh under the supervision of SDPO, Parupkar Singh, during checking on Mangota Road, intercepted a suspicious individual. He was identification as Aamir Samyal, son of Mohd Bashir from Husplote, in Thanamandi.
During search 14 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession. He was arrested and a case FIR No. 43/2026 was registered against him. Further investigation was in progress.
