Enhance cash assistance of migrants: JKDKPF

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Apr 16: The enhancement of monthly cash assistance of Displaced Kashmiri migrants solely dependent on relief has become now the need of the hour because on such meager monthly cash assistance of Rs 13,000 it has become difficult for them to cater to the needs of their lives in view of high rise in daily essential commodities.
In a statement issued today, Jammu and Kashmir Displaced Kashmiri Pandit Front (JKDKPF) president, Vinod Pandita has appealed Government of India, Lt.Governor J&K to consider this long pending genuine demand of displaced Kashmiri migrants viz; enhancement of the monthly cash assistance from Rs 13,000 (thirteen thousand) to Rs 25,000 (Twenty five thousand) per month forthwith because relief holders face great difficulties to maintain their families on such a meager monthly cash assistance in present times.
Vishal Jotshi vice president and Jyoti Dhar have appealed for formation of a concrete return and rehabilitation policy for the displaced Kashmiri Pandits in a time bound period with honour and dignity.
Vinod Bhat, Ashok Kumar Koul, Karuna Jotshi, M.K.Koul, Dazy Dhar, and Suraj Jotshi also appealed for the amelioration of all genuine demands of the Displaced Kashmiri migrants on priority.
