JAMMU, Apr 16: The Finance Department of the Jammu and Kashmir Government has issued fresh instructions to ensure timely uploading of National Pension System (NPS) and Unified Pension System (UPS) contributions.
As per a circular, all NPS contribution bills must be processed for demand on the same day they are received in the treasury, while treasury officers have been directed to ensure that contributions are uploaded or remitted to the Central Recordkeeping Agency or NPS Trustee Bank on the same day of payment release.
The department has further instructed Finance Directors and Financial Advisors of all autonomous bodies to upload NPS contributions by the next day after clearance of salary bills.
