JAMMU, April 14: A blood donation camp organized by Solace, a group of dedicated volunteers in collaboration with the Indian Society of Blood Transfusion and Immunohaematology (ISBTI) and Support Ngo was held here today.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from volunteers and donors who came forward to contribute to the noble cause of saving lives.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Navneet Kour, Vice Chairperson of ISBTI J&K Chapter, expressed her happiness over organizing the camp on Baisakhi. She appreciated the donors for their generous contribution and reiterated the importance of such initiatives in strengthening the region’s blood supply.
Kamran Ali Khan, Chairman of Solace, emphasized the need for regular blood donation, particularly for patients suffering from Thalassemia, who require frequent transfusions.
“Regular donation is a lifeline for many. I urge people to come forward and support such initiatives to save lives,” he said.
The camp successfully reinforced the message of community service and collective responsibility, aligning with the spirit of Baisakhi, a festival symbolizing harvest, hope and new beginnings.
