IAS officer Dr Koh-e-Safa receives grand reception

MENDHAR, Apr 12: Dr Koh-e-Safa, who recently qualified the Civil Services exam, received grand reception at her native town, Mendhar in district Poonch from the locals during her visit today.

Addressing the gathering, she expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people for their love and support, stating that such encouragement has strengthened her commitment to serve society with dedication and integrity.
She shared that qualifying the Civil Services examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission, was a long-cherished dream. She added that it was also the dream of her late grandfather, Lal Mohd Sabar, to see a member of the family become an IAS officer, and fulfilling it remains a matter of pride as well as responsibility.
Dr Koh-e-Safa emphasized the importance of education, determination and perseverance, urging the youth to remain focused on their goals and prepare for competitive examinations like UPSC. She also appealed to parents to guide and motivate their children towards achieving success in life.
“Every child has the potential to succeed if provided the right guidance and opportunities,” she said, encouraging students not to lose hope in the face of challenges and to believe in hard work and self-confidence.
Her father, Mehmood Choudhary, who is serving as a Sessions Judge, also accompanied her during the visit.
Locals appreciated her inspiring words and expressed pride in her remarkable achievement, especially as a role model for young girls in border area.
On the occasion, officials from the Tehsil administration and officers of the Indian Army were also present and conveyed their best wishes. They stated that a daughter from the border area becoming an IAS officer is a matter of great pride for the Pir Panjal region.
