JAMMU, Apr 4: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has placed IPS officer Sanjeev Kumar Khajuria under suspension with immediate effect pending an inquiry into the alleged misappropriation of GP funds and income tax deductions of police personnel of JKAP-4 Security Battalion.

“Pending enquiry in the matter of misappropriation of GP funds and income tax deductions of police personnel of JKAP-4 Security Battalion, Sanjeev Kumar Khajuria (then Commandant JKAP-4 Security Battalion), Commandant Ist Border Battalion, Jammu, is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect,” reads an order issued by Principal Secretary to the Jammu and Kashmir Government, Home Department.
The order further said that during the suspension period, Khajuria will remain attached with Police Headquarters, J&K, till further orders.
