JAMMU, Mar 21: A young man was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Kothey Kalyana village under the jurisdiction of Police Station Arnia today.
The deceased has been identified as Arjun Lal (around 21), son of Rattan Lal, and resident of Kothey Kalyana.
According to officials, family members said he had been under stress for some time and did not respond despite repeated knocks on his room door today.
On checking through a window slit, they found him hanging inside, officials said.
Accordingly, a police team along with FSL experts reached the spot and shifted him to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated inquest proceedings to ascertain the exact cause and circumstances leading to the death.
