JAMMU, Mar 15: Members of the J&K Private Schools Association, Jammu met with the Director School Education Jammu, Naseem Javaid Chowdhary and apprised him of their problems and demands .
They said that since 2015 onwards confirmation of result of all private schools was done on the fixed parameters by all the CEOs/ZEOs of Jammu division in accordance with the directions given to them by the Director School Education, Jammu time to time. Now a days the entire system of education has shifted from offline mode to online mode to check the proxy admissions of the students whether enrolled in Government / private schools. The School Education Department, Government of India has made mandatory the use of Permanent Education Number (PEN) along with Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) ID in a move to simplify and streamline the process of students’ transition from one school to another.
However, said Ajay Gupta-President of JKPSA, schools are facing crisis due to the variation in details of the parents while uploading the details of the students on online portal to generate APAAR ID of few students.
He also highlighted the problems due to the delegation of powers to cluster heads for the countersignature of result of schools as most of the cluster heads are demanding formalities for authentication of result of private schools even which are not needed for the affiliation / recognition of a school.
In the light of their issues, the members demanded clear cut and uniform instructions to the cluster heads for the countersignature/ authentication of the result of the private schools in Jammu division .
The Director School Education Jammu gave a patient hearing and assured the delegation for immediate redressal of their grievances. He also asked the delegation to inform the private schools to register the students in APAAR by or before September 30, 2026 to streamline the exact details of the enrolled students .
The members who accompanied Ajay Gupta in the delegation included Rameshwar Manhas, Siddheshwar Sadotra, Dr M M Sharma, Gaurav Charak, Rashpal Singh, Pardeepak Samyal, Laddi Sharma, Rakesh Gupta, Shakti Dubey, Shabir Malik, Vishal Singh, Ram Parkash, Thomas Oman, Rajeev Jasortia, Shakti Dubey and others.
