KISHTWAR, Mar 1: Two persons were killed and one another was injured here today after the vehicle they were onboard fell near the bank of river Chenab at Kiru Hydro-Electric Project.
Sources informed that the ill fated vehicle bearing registration number JK20B/1428 skidded off the road and fell near the river bank. Click here to watch video
As the vehicle fell, Rinku Kumar, son of Khem Raj, resident of Bakal, Reasi fell into the river and got drowned. His body was fished out by SDRF personnel and shifted to District Hospital Kishtwar.
The two injured persons were identified as Alam Din, son of Sheikh Ali Din, resident of West Bengal and Ashok Kumar, son of Ram Krishna, resident of Reasi and they were shifted to District Hospital Kishtwar.
Later on they were referred to GMC Doda for further treatment where Alam Din succumbed to his injuries.
Police has taken cognisance of the incident.
