He termed the situation “sad news for the people of the world” and warned that any further escalation would have far-reaching consequences.

Referring to the ongoing diplomatic efforts, he said that Oman, which has been acting as a negotiator between Iran and the United States, had indicated that talks were progressing in the right direction and that Iran had agreed to limited uranium enrichment.
“However, the attack took place despite positive signals from the negotiations, and this will affect world peace,” he said.
Ramzan cautioned that instability in the region would also have economic repercussions.
“Oil prices will increase and that will directly affect common people across the globe,” he said, reiterating that war is not an option and that ultimately all parties will have to return to the negotiating table to ensure peace.
On the safety of Indian nationals in Iran, the MP said the Government of India should take immediate steps to ensure the protection of people from Jammu and Kashmir and the rest of the country who are currently in Iran.
“The Government must take necessary measures to bring them back safely,” he said.
Commenting on sports, Ramzan congratulated the J&K team for its feat in the Ranji Trophy, terming it an important event.
He said the achievement would serve as a major encouragement for youth, particularly those associated with sports.
“This has happened for the first time. Such victories motivate young talent to come forward and showcase their abilities,” he said.
On the proposed expansion of the Srinagar airport terminal, Ramzan welcomed the Government’s approval of the project and termed it a positive development for the region.
