Saudi Arabia expresses full solidarity with UAE post Iranian strikes, slams Tehran

RIYADH, Feb 28: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed, while discussing Iran’s retaliatory strikes on certain Gulf regions, expressed solidarity and sympathy for the victims of the strikes.

The de facto Saudi ruler, said that during his call with the Emirati president, Riyadh and Abu Dhabi “discussed regional developments” and proceeded to slam the “blatant Iranian aggression and the flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan,” wrote the Saudi Foreign Ministry.

Both sides further condemned Tehran’s attack, calling it a “dangerous escalation that threatens the region’s security and undermines its stability.”

Affirming Riyadh’s “full solidarity with the UAE,” and all its “brotherly nations”, the Kingdom also cited “its readiness to place all its capabilities at their disposal in support of any measures they may undertake. It also warns of the grave consequences resulting from the continued violation of states’ sovereignty and the principles of international law.”
