JAMMU, Feb 24: The J&K government has put on hold the relieving of transferred Girdawars.
As per a government order, issued from the office of Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, it was mentioned that in continuation of orders with numbers 31 and 32 of 2026 dated February 21, 2026 regarding transfer and posting of Girdawars of Jammu Division, the transferred Girdawars including the newly promoted shall not be relieved till further orders.
However, sources informed that holding of relieving of transferred Girdawars was done because of digitalisation of records, 99 per cent of which has been completed by now.
“The department is checking that digitalisation of records at the place of transfer to the place where the revenue officials have been transferred is complete or not,” they said adding: “After digitalisation of records gets completed, the Girdawars will be relieved.”
