SAMBA, Feb 24: In a major crackdown on criminal activities, Samba police has arrested a hardcore criminal in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS), Bari Brahmana who is involved in multiple heinous cases across the region.
A police spokesperson said acting on specific information, a team of Police Station, Bari Brahmana conducted a well planned and coordinated raid in Sarore area and apprehended a hardcore criminal namely Falla, son of Mohd Bashir of Sarore Adda, tehsil Bari Brahmana, district Samba.
The accused is a wanted criminal and involved in multiple heinous cases including kidnapping, organized crime, rioting, attempt to murder, assault and illegal possession of weapon. The cases registered against the accused included FIR No. 15/2021 U/S 341, 323, 147, 148 IPC of PS Bishnah district Jammu, FIR No. 288/2021 U/S 365, 323, 34 IPC of PS Kathua, FIR No. 109/2023 U/S 8/21-C/ 22-C/25/ 27-A/29 NDPS Act of PS Ghagwal, FIR No. 238/2023 U/S 307, 353, 336, 147, 148, 506 IPC and 4/25 Arms Act of PS, FIR No. 136/2025 U/S 115(2), 352, 351(2), 3(5) BNS and 3/25 Arms Act, FIR No. 56/2026 U/S 111, 304, 191(2) BNS and 4/25 Arms Act, FIR No. 57/2026 U/S 111, 132, 121, 125, 191(2), 191(3) BNS and 4/25 Arms Act registered in PS Bari Brahmana.
The accused “Falla” had been evading arrest in several of these cases, particularly the recent 2026 incidents involving organized crime, the spokesperson said.
