Inter-state youth exchange begins at SCERT

SRINAGAR, Feb 21: The Inter-State Youth Exchange Programme was inaugurated at SCERT Bemina today, bringing together 37 youth delegates from Delhi for a five-day cultural and educational engagement in Jammu and Kashmir.
The initiative is being organised by Mera Yuva Bharat under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The programme aims to provide participants an opportunity to experience the cultural heritage, traditions and social fabric of Jammu and Kashmir while fostering inter-state understanding.
Addressing the inaugural function, chief guest Nighat Aman, SSP, highlighted the role of youth participation in nation-building. She said such exchange programmes serve as platforms for promoting unity, mutual respect and a shared sense of national identity among young citizens.
Deputy Director, Mera Yuva Bharat Srinagar, Pardip Kumar welcomed the delegates and outlined the broader objective of the initiative, stating that exposure, dialogue and cultural exchange help empower youth and strengthen bonds across regions.
Among those present were Rahi Rayaz, Imran Khan, representatives of Bharat Scouts and Guides, and volunteers of Mera Yuva Bharat, who reiterated their commitment to promoting youth leadership and collaborative efforts.
The five-day programme will include cultural interactions, field visits and interactive sessions aimed at encouraging dialogue and deepening inter-state engagement.
