MATHURA, Feb 17 : Thakur Banke Bihari Ji will be seated in Jagmohan during the upcoming Holi festival to facilitate easy darshan for devotees.
The entire temple complex will also be adorned with elaborate floral decorations. Furthermore, in view of the lunar eclipse on March 3, 2026, a change in the temple’s schedule has been decided. A new schedule will be released soon for the convenience of devotees.
This decision was taken in the 12th important meeting of the High Powered Management Committee held on Monday at the Laxman Shaheed Smarak Bhawan regarding the management of the world-famous Thakur Shri Banke Bihari Temple and upcoming festivals.
Chaired by retired Allahabad High Court Justice Ashok Kumar, the meeting discussed a 15-point agenda ranging from Holi celebrations to temple security and financial transparency.
The committee reviewed the process of removing the organization (PLN-9 Security) for negligence in the temple’s sanitation system and non-payment of GST. Additionally, instructions were issued to require mandatory police character verification of all temple servants. A plan has also been developed to digitize and secure temple records.
The process of providing devotees with income tax exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act on donations received by the temple has been initiated. Furthermore, an agreement was reached to increase the daily budget for the temple’s offerings from Rs 22,300 and transfer funds held in various banks to the main accounts.
Retired Judge Mukesh Mishra, District Judge Vikas Kumar, District Magistrate Chandra Prakash Singh, and representatives of the Goswami community were present at the meeting.
