J&K Police Attach Residential Property Acquired Through Proceeds Of Drug Trade In Shopian

SRINAGAR, Feb 14: As a part of ongoing measures to curb narcotics-related activities, J&K Police have attached a single-story residential house valued at ₹26,56,008, with a plinth area of 1392 Sq.ft under Survey No. 44min, belonging to Sartaj Ahmad Ganie resident of Memander Shopian.
The property has been found to be acquired using money obtained through the sale of illegal drugs and narcotics. The accused has been previously involved in multiple NDPS cases, including FIR No. 20/2021 & 49/2021 of Police Station Shopian. The attachment process was executed in the presence of a duly constituted police team, Executive Magistrate, Lambardar and Chowkidar, ensuring full compliance with all legal protocols.
J&K Police reiterates its commitment to enforcing the law against narcotics-related offences and appeals to the public to report any information regarding drug-related activities, the police statement said.
