JAMMU, Feb 11: Department of Pediatrics, SMGS Hospital, Govt Medical College Jammu, in collaboration with Department of Zoology/Institute of Human Genetics University of Jammu, organised a lecture on “Genetic Diseases Diagnoses” under “Mission Programme on Pediatric Rare Genetic Disorders” at SMGS Hospital, here today.
Dr Ashutosh Gupta, Principal & Dean, GMC Jammu, was the chief guest, and Dr Dara Singh, Medical Superintendent, SMGS Hospital, Jammu, was the guest of honour on this occasion.
Dr Usha Dutta, Senior Cytogeneticist, CDFD, Hyderabad, was the guest speaker and she deliberated upon various common genetic disorders and their diagnosis.
Dr Sanjeev Kumar Digra, Professor and Head Department of Pediatrics, in his welcome address, emphasized the importance of identifying and diagnosing genetic disorders.
Dr Parvinder Kumar, Professor, Department of Zoology/Institute of Human Genetics University of Jammu, introduced the guest speaker.
